about us

The development of greenhouse crops in Iran and the world has been increasingly expanded during the last few decades due to its many advantages, such as the reduction of water consumption. Currently, there are about 20,000 hectares of greenhouses in Iran, of which less than 10% are hydroponic, and the rest are soil based. In hydroponic cultivation, culture medium is used instead of soil. Nearly 15,000 tons of Cocopeat growing medium, which is obtained from coconut waste, are imported annually to Iran from Sri Lanka and India to supply hydroponic growing medium, which causes the foreign currency outflow from the Iran. Extensive studies on the processing of palm tree waste to use it as a growing medium for various plants have been carried out by this company for 15 years, and the favorable results of this research have been published in 40 articles in international journals and national and international conferences.

In 1391, the processing process was patented and from 1398, the commercial production was started. At present, Hadi Nakhel Bihamta Company is engaged in the production of greenhouse cultivation substrate and various products for consumption in agricultural, under the Ecopeat brand, as a technological and knowledge-based company in the industrial space of Isfahan Islamic Azad University. Two types of the company’s products are for hydroponic cultivation and seedling production, and the rest of the products have been produced according to the problems of greenhouses and the agricultural sector. Most of Iran’s greenhouses are soil based. To increase plant growth and crop production in these greenhouses, the factors of water holding capacity, soil porosity, ventilation of the root environment and nutrients needed by the plant should be increased. To achieve this goal, this company has produced and sold a product called “greenhouse soil corrective”. Moreover, the crisis of climate change and the spread of drought in the country caused Hadi Nakhel Bihamta to produce and market a product to reduce water consumption under the name of “super water absorbent” in order to preserve gardens. This company is proud to be able to identify the problems of the agricultural sector and be diligent in solving them according to its scientific and production capacity.
